So I finally got round to seeing my first episode of House. Everyone's been going on about it for ages but I've never managed to see any until now.
I've only seen the first one and it's not too bad actually, quite funny. It's just really weird hearing Hugh Laurie with an American accent as he's so quintessentially posh English!

ok so I saw the Sex and the city film last night.
All I'm going to say (with the risk of sounding like a complete airhead) is that it was totally worth the wait, and
Big made me melt!
Needless to say Mike enjoyed the rude bits and the jokes lol
Men just don't get it!!!
I want to see it again please.......

good news! Dave did indeed have his operation but it wasn't as invasive (not sure if that's the correct word)as it could have been. Basically he had damaged the cruciate ligament in his knee and they've put it into the correct position using a figure of 8 suture from a nylon type thread which will dissolve in a years time.
He's staying at the vets tonight to recover from the anaesthetic and I can collect him tomorrow! Yay!
it will be quite painful for a while and could take a few months to fully get better. Its similar to when he had his hip removed in that his daily walks are restricted to just around the block and will be much slower. The trouble with having a little jack Russell is that they never slow down and carry on regardless! He can sprint unbelievably fast on 3 legs as it is hehe

dave's got to go to the vets tomorrow! He's been carrying his hind leg a lot lately especially after long walks. The vet thinks he may have dislocated his knee or damaged his cruciate ligament. Without an x ray its hard to tell. So he's having an x ray (under general anaesthetic) and if surgery is required, they will do it at the same time which is good. My poor baby! He's already had one hip joint removed last year and he's not even 2 yet!!! I will update as soon as I know what's happening with him!
It was my nephew Freddie's birthday on Sunday. I took a picture of him opening his presents, so cute!! He's into Power Rangers hehe

I have this week off work and I'm really enjoying it. Last night we went to London to see Mamma Mia in the West End. Not really my cup of tea but was a lot of fun. I love Abba's music.
I'm going out to the pictures tonight to see the new Jack Black film, I hope it's as funny as I'm expecting hehe

I'm completely gutted about Heath Ledger. I liked him because he was a breath of fresh air.....I'm bored of the stereotypical Hollywood actor.
The first film I saw him in was 10 Things I Hate About You sooooo funny.
And then my favourite film of course Brokeback Mountain. (Best film and best soundtrack thanks to Rufus Wainwright hehe)
Such a waste..........

Why have people put their Christmas stuff already?? Some people had their trees up on the first of December!!
I'm sorry, I'm not a Scrooge, I adore Christmas but I like the Twelve Days of Christmas rather than the 25 hehe
I got my first Christmas card from
steelcorpfilms yesterday!!! Thankyou Indy I love it!!
I'm posting mine out tomorrow.
I watched 'Bobby' last night.....have you seen it? I wasn't all that bothered about watching it but there was nothing else on. I thought it would be boring........ it's about a group of different people who are staying in the hotel on the day Bobby Kennedy gets killed. (sorry if I've spoiled it for anyone who didn't know the ending lol).
To be honest with you, I don't know much about Bobby Kennedy, his policies or anything really, all I knew was that he was JFK's brother and he was murdered.
I totally wasn't expecting to be blown away by this film. All the characters are fantastic and well written and were played by so many great actors (is it a bad thing to love Martin Sheen?? lol)
I learned a lot about Bobbys ideas and politics and he seemed like such a great bloke that even though I knew what was coming, I was still thinking maybe he wouldn't die at the end (like I did in my Romeo and Juliet obsession). I was actually crying at the end.
I also didn't know that Mexican's had such a rough time in America in the '60s (I apologise if I sound patronising). I felt bad for Freddy Rodriguez. I can't understand why they were treated so bad.
If you haven't seen it, please watch it.... it's not your average film but Emilio Estevez did a fab job and I think the reason it worked so well is that they didn't have anyone playing Bobby. They use vintage footage of him amoungt the film and only use an actor for non facial scenes.

Mike, Charlie and I went to see My Chemical Romance on Thursday.
We had an amazing time. The support band was ok (Mindless Self Indulgence) but went on for too long in my opinion.
I love it when there's flames and fireworks at a concert.
I can't believe how quickly this year has gone, I'm making Christmas playlists on my ipod right now.
So far I have NSync, The Chipmunks and Taylor Swift...........

On my trip to New York, I had to go and visit "Strawberry Fields" which is located in Central Park.
In case you don't know, it's a memorial for John Lennon who was killed nearby.
The day we visited it was a really hot day and by the time we had reached Strawberry Fields, we were exhausted. We got to the top of the hill and there it was. It's in a quiet place which is surrounded by trees etc and was in complete shade.
It made me feel really sad and happy at the same time as it was so peaceful there. People were all just sitting around it with hardly any noise at all.
Here are some pictures, sorry they aren't the best quality, but like I said, it was bright everywhere else apart from this which was shady so they are a little dark:
